Hey there, self-employed folks! This is your friendly reminder to ease off the gas and take a break. Your brain and business will thank you.
Chronic stress keeps the body in "fight-or-flight" mode, which impedes the brain's ability to retrieve information stored in memory. It's tough to skillfully manage the barrage of challenges you face as a business owner when you struggle to remember basic information ... like your phone number. (We've been there!)
Put simply, stressed-out brains are bad for business.
We make a point to treat ourselves well, mentally and physically. We clock out at 5 p.m. We eat well and don't skimp on sleep. We know that we operate at peak proficiency when we feel rested and balanced.
