Portfolio Showcase: Compliance Software Training

By Bridget Manley

From our archives: Here's a software training course that Bridget Manley helped redesign during her tenure as curriculum manager at Cannabis Industry Institute.

About the software: Metrc is a state-mandated seed-to-sale tracking system used to monitor the growth, processing, transport, and sale of cannabis in legalized states. Its purpose is to help prevent diversion to the black market and establish a chain of custody that makes it easy for regulators to perform product recalls.

About the course: This four-hour training provides detailed instruction on how to use Metrc in cultivations, processing plants, and dispensaries. Bridget helped her team convert the software user guide into actionable, step-by-step training that guides learners through each essential process in the software. She also interviewed professionals who use Metrc daily to gather expert tips and tricks not available in the user guide. Finally, she created a student guide complete with exercises and scenarios that challenge learners to apply their new knowledge in authentic ways.

Here's another eLearning experience from our archives:

As curriculum manager for Clear Cannabis, Inc., Bridget Manley developed an online course that introduced sales staff to a new line of CBD-infused products. The course, which was developed in Adobe Captivate 2019, challenged learners to apply their knowledge of product specs by answering a customer's questions and offering a product recommendation.
